Position Summary
The Finance Executive will be responsible for supporting the organization's financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting support, payroll coordination, and compliance with company policies and applicable financial regulations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting entries.
- Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and verify invoices, payment vouchers, and expense reports.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor cash flow and maintain petty cash records.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare periodic financial reports and management summaries.
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Support forecasting activities and financial planning initiatives.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all financial transactions.
- Assist in internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and supporting documents.
- Ensure timely filing of tax-related documentation and statutory requirements.
Payroll & Employee Finance Support
- Coordinate payroll data with HR and ensure accuracy of salary processing.
- Verify employee reimbursements, allowances, and other financial claims.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee financial information.
Administrative Support
- Liaise with banks, vendors, and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
- Support procurement and payment processes as required.
- Perform other finance-related duties assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- ACCA (Part Qualified), CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent qualification will be preferred.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting functions.
- Fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds may also be considered for junior-level positions.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Financial Reporting).
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in service-based organizations, healthcare, clinical research, or technology companies.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax regulations.
- Experience working with audits and compliance requirements.
